The 2018-19 Boys Basketball team claims the Colorado Spring Metro League 4A (CSML) title finish with a league record of 13-1. This is the first league title since 2005 when the CSML was 17 teams.
The Panthers finished the year with an overall 19-4 record and earned a #10 seed the Colorado High School Activities Association state tournament. The Panthers under first year head coach Eric Kaiser will play the winner of the Alameda v D’Evelyn contest on Saturday, Feb. 23.
This group of young men have played well all season long as a team. They continue to grow as a team and in their roles. The Panthers defense has improved holding opponents to 53 points per game, while the Panthers average 63 points per game. Donta Dawson leads the team in scoring 16.4 pts. per game and averages 6.5 rebounds per game. He is followed in scoring by Orlando Westbrook Sanchez 11.9 pts per game, Tayzhean Archuleta 9.8 pts. per game and Taylor Hofmann at 8.4 pts. per game. Aumiere Shedrick leads the Panthers in rebound average at 7 per game and in steals with a total of 72. Other key members of the Panthers are Xavier Sterling, Makeah Scippio and Jailen Franck.
